CLASSES to begin February /2012
The Grand River Kennel Club is a NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION made up of dedicated dog lovers/hobbyists that endeavor to help dog owners in the community to make their dog a GREAT COMPANION AND A CANINE GOOD CITIZEN.
The GRKC is able to offer affordable dog training classes to the public due to the dedication of our Members who volunteer their many years of knowledge and expertise in training dogs.
Obedience
Is for all dogs, purebred and mixed breeds, approximately 3 months of age and older. This course covers the commands: Stand, Sit, Sit/Stay, Down, Down/Stay, Stay, Come, Attention, Recall, Manners and Walking/Heeling, nicely on a leash.
Special attention to safe and proper socialization with people and dogs.
Classes are held one night a week for 6 weeks.
ONLY POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT METHODS USED FOR TRAINING
Booklet Included with this course.
We limit the size of our classes to give you and your dog maximum attention.
PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
Puppy Kindergarten is a fun filled class for junior puppies, who will learn to play and socialize with other dogs and people in hopes of setting the foundation for a well balanced adult dog that will be joy to live with.
Classes are held one night a week for 6 weeks, with A fun filled “puppy party” at the end of the session.
Conformation (Show Handling) Starts February
Is for people new to the sport of conformation or experienced owner/ handlers who have dogs that need to get used to the ring and a show atmosphere. Owner/ handlers at all levels of experience are welcome.
